This project commenced life as a new spec warehouse and office building for CIAL which Hanham & Philp were the successful tenderer for.

For the most part, this was a straight forward build incorporating a post tensioned floor. The biggest challenge faced for all parties involved was a substantial change in design to accommodate NZ Post, a large tenant and their specific requirements which occurred part way through the project.

This involved fully enclosing the two end canopy areas, mechanically ventilating the warehouse area due to a large number of vehicle movements through the space, adding a toilet block to the warehouse and an updated office fit-out.

Hanham & Philp had to work very closely with the design team to action portions of work in order to mitigate the additional construction time required for these changes.
