This project showcased Hanham & Philp’s skills of building with a “soft touch” due to the lack of working space, the ongoing operation of existing business’s onsite, the close proximity of residential properties and being located at the intersection of two important thoroughfares.

As such considerable time was given toward the methodology of the construction and its impacts, ensuring we had minimal disruption on neighbours and a strong emphasis on communication throughout the project. The project was phased to undertake multiple demolitions of previous existing structures and the undertaking of site works at certain optimum times.

The project incorporates base build works alongside multiple high-end tenancy fit outs over two floors. This project was completed as a single project, but the cost split and charged separately throughout the contract to the different parties involved.

The medical centre itself takes up approximately 500sqm, featuring eight consulting rooms, five treatment/procedure rooms and one large observation room. The building services required considerable coordination and attendance on, with extensive sound and fire proofing of the separate tenancies. Hanham & Philp assisted here which saved the client money when they detected a clash between the structure and services early on.
